What to Know Before You Apply

Assistance is generally available to individuals and families in the greater Columbus, Ohio area.
Focused on Immediate Needs
Requests should address a specific hardship or pressing need rather than ongoing expenses.
Usually One Time per Household
Support is generally limited to one time per household, so we can help more neighbors facing hardship.
Request Amounts
Requests are typically limited in amount. Exceptions may be considered with prior approval from our board.
Thoughtful Review
Our board considers eligibility, available funds, urgency, and whether we can meet your request. Applying does not guarantee assistance.
When You May Hear Back
Applicants can generally expect a response within five business days after submitting an application.

Whenever possible, we may pay a service provider, landlord, utility company, vendor, or other third party directly.
